Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked the citizens for what they have been worthy of the worst phase of the epidemic of the coronavirus. According to him, Russian society did not panic in the face of this threat, and this helped to cope with the “challenge of enormous complexity”.

Speaking to the people, which transmits the channel “Russia 24”, the President noted that the last three months dramatically changed the way of life of Russians. According to him, life was divided into “before” and “after” the epidemic.

“All of us had in recent time is not easy, but the society was not a loss”, – said the head of state.

Putin said that the Russians have joined a clear understanding of the situation, awareness of the threat and also what to fight and overcome the disease can only be together.

“I would Like to once again sincerely thank all of you for your responsible attitude to their health and to the safety of their families, for mutual support, for the dignity with which you, the citizens of Russia, passed through the most dangerous phase of the epidemic”, – said the President.

He added that in February and early March, managed to “win time” and to do everything possible to save tens of thousands of lives. And yet, the President said, the epidemic is not yet over. Therefore, he urged citizens to be vigilant and attentive to their health.

According to the latest data of the operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus, a day in Russia revealed 7425 cases COVID-19. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the country recorded almost 600 cases of infection.
