The Prosecutor demands to plant Serebrennikov for 6 years

the Prosecution believes that the guilt of the Director Kirill Serebrennikov, who is accused of plunder of budgetary funds is proved. In the debate in the Meshchansky court of Moscow Prosecutor Mikhail Reznichenko asked to appoint accused punishment in the form of 6 years of imprisonment in a colony and a fine of 800 thousand rubles, reports RIA Novosti.

According to investigators, pieces of silver, together with producers Alexey Malopolski and Yuri Etenim, as well as a former employee of the Ministry of culture Sofia Apfelbaum organized the theft of funds allocated, “the Seventh Studio” in 2011-2014 on the implementation of the project on promotion and development of contemporary art “Platform”.

From October 2018, the case is under consideration of the Meshchansky court. However, in September 2019, the court returned the materials to the Prosecutor. However, the Prosecutor’s office challenged this decision and eventually the court sent the case to the Meshchansky court on new consideration in other structure of judges.

the investigation was conducted three examinations. The first estimated the damage at 133 million rubles, the second found that the defendants were not spent and saved the money of the culture. The third examination assessed the damage almost 129 million rubles.

Of all of the defendants admitted his guilt only a former chief accountant of “the Seventh Studio” Nina Masliaev, a case concerning it is allocated in separate manufacture. The other defendants his guilt is not admitted: they insist that the damage was calculated incorrectly.
