the Spring session will be almost twice as long as the autumn. The MPs will consider about 1,300 bills. Among priority questions — social issues, security issues and the implementation of initiatives of the Duma Commission on investigation of facts of intervention of other countries in Russia’s internal Affairs.
the speaker of the lower house of Parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin, in his traditional speech at the opening plenary session drew the deputies ‘ attention to another important topic — the protection of historical memory about the Second world war. According to the Chairman of the state Duma, not only deputies, but also of the Russian delegation to the PACE, the OSCE parliamentary Assembly and other inter-parliamentary organizations should make this a priority in their work.
