To pay hand: Amazon is working on new payment terminals

The Wall Street Journal reported that the American online retailer Amazon is developing terminals that will allow consumers to pay in stores by scanning the palm of the hand, the surface features of which will be associated with a debit or credit card.

currently the project is at an early stage of development. It is planned that recognizes the fingerprint terminals are installed in cafeterias, fast food restaurants and other businesses where workers have to do repetitive operations, reports TASS.

CEO Jeff Bezos addressed the non-cash payment system Visa with the purpose of system testing transaction processing for future terminals. Also, negotiations are ongoing with MasterCard and the card issuing banks JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo and Synchrony Financial. Banks do not hide that until they decide what is better for them to cooperate with Amazon or compete.

the Newspaper reminds that recently the company Bezos has applied for a patent for “contactless recognition system biometric parameters”.
