Access to the website services and websites of Federal and regional authorities since March 1, 2020 will be free. Operators will no longer apply traffic when access to these resources. In addition, they will be able to go even with zero balance.
it is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Ministry of communications, where today was held the meeting of acting head of the Ministry of communications of the Russian Federation Konstantin Noskov with representatives of the largest operators.
the Ministry said that it will be the first step towards the realization of project “Internet”. The idea is to make free access to the most socially important resources you’ll ever need – proposed by the President in address to the Federal Assembly.
“Russia is one of the few countries in the world where there are social networks, messengers and other national online resources. In this regard, I propose to prepare and implement a project Affordable Internet throughout the country to provide free access to socially significant domestic Internet services. People will not have to pay for the Network access for Internet traffic”, – said the head of state.
That, in his opinion, could give Russia a competitive advantage, creating new opportunities for education, creation, communication and participation of the people in the country.
