The Union can further expand its lead in an election poll. In the current opinion trend, which the opinion research institute “Insa” collects for the newspaper “Bild”, the CDU and CSU come to 28 percent this week, which is one percentage point more than in the previous week. The Social Democrats lose one point and come to 19 percent, the Greens also lose half a percentage point and are now at 21 percent. The FDP, on the other hand, gains half a point and reaches nine and a half percent.

The left remains at four percent, the AfD gains half a percentage point and is now eleven percent. The other parties would collect seven percent of the votes (minus half a percentage point).

The traffic light coalition of SPD, FDP and Greens together only comes to 49.5 percent. If there were an election on Sunday, she could continue to govern with a parliamentary majority with this result. Black-Green (together 49 percent) and Black-Red (together 47 percent) also have parliamentary majorities

A total of 2066 citizens were surveyed for the Insa opinion trend from July 1st to 4th, 2022. The maximum statistical error tolerance is 2.5 percentage points.
