Storylines
USMNT: Head coach Gregg Berhalter and the staff have an active summer before them, and the training staff have assembled an international schedule of games that replicates qualifying tempo. This is actually the first of four matches during the next month, mimicking eventual World Cup qualifying. Back DeAndre Yedlin forced his return on USMNT training camps for the first time since November 2019, though Sergino Dest might see time in the place over the long time veteran as eyes are about the youthful core of USMNT ahead of a large summer

Switzerland: Switzerland head coach Vladimir Petković has been on the job since the 2014 FIFA World Cup. During his time, the group has qualified and advanced to the knockout stage of the Euro 2016 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup, also led the team back to this summer’s European Championships. Petković called in a 29-player squad for the friendlies, and will need to cut the roster down to 26 by June 1, so search for a few younger Korean players for a few minutes during these games for further examination.

Prediction
USMNT get excellent looks in the final third but fight with Switzerland’s coordinated defense. Pick: Switzerland 1, USMNT 1
