Victory parade in the capital of Karelia will host the 30th September

In Karelia Victory parade decided to hold on September 30. It will unite the three landmark date — the 75th anniversary of the great Victory, 76 years since the liberation of the Karelian Republic from the Nazis and the 100th anniversary of the region. By tradition, the parade will be held on Kirov square in Petrozavodsk. It will be attended by military equipment ZVO, as well as the territorial troops of the garrison and law enforcement agencies.

According to the decree of the President, governors the right to appoint date of carrying out of parade of the Victory in terms of the epidemic of the coronavirus. Therefore, the head of the Republic of Karelia, Artur Parfenchikov informed the commander of the Western district, Colonel-General A. A. Zhuravlev about not conducting the ceremonial parade on June 24.

however, the Day of memory and grief, June 22 residents of Karelia are invited to take part in the action “Candle of memory”. All-Russian action was held this year in an online format. Every year on June 22 all over Russia lit candles in memory of all those who died during the great Patriotic war. This year because of the pandemic coronavirus “Candle of memory” will be held in the virtual: all Russians will be able to light a candle online.
