the Contract between “Naftogaz” and “Gazprom” for the transit of Russian natural gas through the territory of Ukraine involves the principle “swing or pay”. This was stated by the Director of the company “Naftogaz of Ukraine” Yuriy Vitrenko in the social network Facebook.
As said a top Manager of “Naftogaz”, the fact of signing of the contract on gas transit for five years by the principle “swing or pay” – an extraordinary event in such conditions. For the first time in the history of Ukraine, “Gazprom” signed a contract for gas transit according to the European principle “swing or pay”.
Also Vitrenko confirmed that the company “Naftogaz of Ukraine” has signed with “Gazprom” agreement on the settlement of litigation. Under the agreement, “Gazprom” completely ceases to appeal against decisions of the Stockholm arbitration court.
