VTSIOM: amendments to the Constitution supported by 75 percent of voters

For the period from 25 to 28 June, 76 percent of respondents who participated in the vote supported the changes to the Constitution. This is evidenced by the data of poll VTSIOM, in which participated 163 thousand 124 people.

the Survey was conducted on the output of about 800 polling sites in 25 subjects of the Russian Federation. The main day of voting on constitutional amendments scheduled for 1 July.

In January of this year during his address to the Federal Assembly, President Vladimir Putin proposed to hold a vote on the amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

March 11 after consideration, the amendment state Duma in the final reading adopted the presidential bill. Then it was approved by the Federation Council, after which the document was supported by the legislative assemblies of all subjects of Federation.

According to the presidential decree, the all-Russia day of voting was scheduled for April 22, but due to the pandemic COVID-19 the President in a televised address to the citizens on 25 March stated the need for postponing the vote.
