Medical professionals should be exempted from criminal liability for unintentional loss of narcotic and psychotropic drugs. The corresponding order was signed by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. As indicated in the document published on the Kremlin website, the government should prepare appropriate proposals until April 15.
the question of the responsibility of physicians was raised during a meeting of the President with the public, which took place in Kaliningrad region in October 2019. One of the participants of the meeting complained of the excessive measures against medical doctors can prosecute, even if the drug vial was just randomly broken.
Vladimir Putin then agreed that the liability in such cases can be mitigated. He reminded that there are cases of malpractice on the part of health workers.
