Belarus has suspended exports of oil products

Belarus has temporarily suspended the export of oil products produced at its refineries, reports TASS. According to the Belneftekhim concern, until further notice the export of petroleum products outside the country have been temporarily suspended due to the suspension of Russian oil supplies to Belarusian refineries.

the press service of Belneftekhim widespread media reports of the suspension of export of oil products from January 1, 2020 is not confirmed, nor denied. Earlier it was reported that on the morning of 3 January, Belneftekhim stated the termination of oil supplies from Russian oil companies from 1 January in the absence of contracts.

“oil Supplies from Russia stopped, now there is active work on conclusion of contracts in January”, — said the representative of the press service of the concern “Interfax”.

Belarusian refineries had to work on last year’s stocks of raw materials with minimum technological level. On the remains of the oil refinery in Novopolotsk and Mozyr will be able to hold out until around January 20. Belneftekhim is actively seeking other sources of oil besides Russia.

According to the Russian Transneft from 1 January it has not received from the Russian oil companies applications for oil supplies to Belarusian refineries, but the oil transit goes through Belarus without any restrictions.

According to Deputy Chairman of “Belneftekhim” Andrew bunakova, the company is ready to meet the needs of the domestic market in all types of motor fuels in full. Reasons for concern regarding a possible shortage in the domestic markets of the group do not see, he said, the BelTA news Agency.
