Boyko Borissov: Bulgaria is ready to a large number of Russian gas

Bulgaria is building its distribution network and is ready for a large amount of gas from Russia and Azerbaijan, said Prime Minister Boyko Borisov in the program “Moscow. The Kremlin. Putin” on TV channel “Russia 1”.

“Bulgaria is building its gas distribution network. And the more gas comes from Russia and Azerbaijan, the more we can in our pipeline to be transported through Bulgaria. For this we are ready,” he said.

on 8 January in Istanbul hosted the ceremonial launch of the pipeline “Turkish stream”. The symbolic valve on the scene turned the presidents of Russia, Turkey and Serbia, as well as the Prime Minister of Bulgaria.

Bulgaria has started to receive gas from Russia via pipeline “Turkish stream” on 1 January. Every year, the country will receive almost 3 billion cubic meters of fuel. The “Turkish stream” two lines: one for the Turkish market and another for European supplies through the territory of Bulgaria, Serbia and Hungary.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Bulgaria is deliberately delaying the construction of “Turkish stream” on its territory.
