In the Mordovian penal colony number 5, investigate a fight between two prisoners. According to unofficial information, one of its members was a former employee of the anti-corruption Central Directorate of interior Ministry Dmitry Zakharchenko, who was convicted for bribery.
According to the source, Zakharchenko was hit in the face with the prisoner, who accused him of selling phones.
In UFSIN of Russia on Republic Mordovia have confirmed the information about the fight in the colony, but the names of participants are not called.
“One of the convicts got some punches and a head in the face,” — told “Interfax” in the Department, adding that the injured were given first aid.
Zakharchenko was detained in Moscow on 9 September 2016. In the apartment of his sister in Michurinsky prospect was discovered 9 billion in cash. The origin of this amount Zakharchenko could not explain.
In June 2019 Presnensky court of Moscow found him guilty on two counts of cases of bribery and sentenced to 13 years imprisonment. In this episode of receiving a bribe in the amount of 800 thousand dollars from restaurateur Mehdi Dossa he was acquitted. In the end, the sentence Zakharchenko has reduced from 13 years to 12 years and 6 months.
