Russian Daria Kasatkina, who several years ago was in the Top 3 of the best tennis players of the country, but failed the last season, trying to get visas to the depths of the WTA classification. She got into the main draw of the tournament in Adelaide which is the inlet to the first “Grand slam” of the season – the Australian Open in 2020.
In the final round of the qualifying competition Kasatkina defeated canadian Gabriela Dabrowski with the score 6:2, 6:2. In addition to Daria in the final qualification played two more our sportswomen, but both lost: Vitaly Dyachenko lost to Yulia Putintseva from Kazakhstan and Anastasia Potapova — Arina Rodionova serving for Australia.
