In the new poll by the ZDF political barometer, the Greens have overtaken the SPD in favor with voters. While the chancellor party only gets 22 percent (minus three points), the Greens, on the other hand, can increase by three percentage points and now reach 24 percent. According to the research group Wahlen, the CDU/CSU are ahead with 26 percent (plus three). The Liberals, who had already suffered defeats in the state elections, are now also losing in the poll for the federal government and only come to seven percent (minus two). The AfD ends up with ten percent, the left with four percent.

Economics Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) with 2.1 out of five points and Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (Greens) with 1.9 points are clearly in the lead when it comes to politicians’ popularity ratings. Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) remains stable at 1.1, followed by Agriculture Minister Cem Özdemir (Greens) with 1.0. FDP leader and Finance Minister Christian Lindner comes to 0.5. Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht (SPD) slipped significantly to minus 0.8.

Only 20 percent of those surveyed expect the traffic light coalition to break up before 2025. They rate the work of the Greens with 1.3 significantly better than that of the SPD with 0.7 and that of the FDP with 0.2.
