In the United States honored the memory of Soviet pilots during the Second world war

In the United States in the city of Elizabeth city held a solemn event dedicated to the Soviet-American project “Zebra” during the great Patriotic war.

the project from America in the Soviet Union under lend-lease supplied a hydroplane. The participants honored the memory of Soviet pilots, who were killed in the span of amphibians from the US to the USSR, as well as all project participants. The audience was welcomed by Russia’s Ambassador to the U.S. Anatoly Antonov.

“Today, the Museum gathered a lot of people. It was nice to see interest in the eyes; there was a genuine interest in what happened seemingly so long ago, 75 years ago. Particularly pleased that all the Americans talked about the importance of the interaction between common challenges and threats”, — he declared in interview to TV channel “Russia 1”.
