Kudrin: the chamber has not made proposals to reduce tax for the poor

Alexei Kudrin spoke about the idea of reducing income tax for the poor. He stated that the chamber has not made and has not considered such a proposal and that it has “very indirect” relationship to poverty.

Kudrin said that it would be more efficient to introduce a subsidy that would have been payable with uchtom income of each family member, according to RIA Novosti.

In December at a meeting with regional ombudsmen President Vladimir Putin promised to think about how to release the Russians, receiving the minimum wage from personal income tax. Since the minimum wage equal to the subsistence minimum, the tax deduction of this amount will lead to the fact that the citizen’s income will fall below the bar set by the government.

the Idea of liberation of the poor from the tax was also supported by the head of the Ministry Maxim Oreshkin, the Federation Council speaker Valentina Matviyenko, the head of VTB Andrey Kostin. Finance Minister Anton Siluanov noted that it is necessary first to understand how the innovation will affect regional budgets.
