Poklonskaya ready to return to Ukraine as Ambassador

the Russian state Duma Deputy, Deputy Chairman of the house Committee on international Affairs Natalia Poklonskaya hoped that in the near future will return to Kyiv the Ambassador of the Russian Federation. In her opinion, the presence in the Ukrainian capital, the Russian Ambassador may be an important step towards settlement of the conflict in the East of the country.

“ending the war in Ukraine and the establishment of normal diplomatic relations between our countries is a priority”, — Mrs. Poklonskaya, whose words cites RIA Novosti.

moreover, she stated that she is ready to become the Ambassador of Russia in Ukraine, if there is such a proposal. “My home country Russia and Ukraine, and I love them,” — said the Deputy.

Organizers also expressed hope that the advent of a new stage of development of Russian-Ukrainian relations. “I will do everything possible to normalize relations between our countries”, — said the MP.

Russia and Ukraine established diplomatic relations in 1992, recalled their ambassadors in 2014. In August 2016, Moscow offered the post of Ambassador in Kiev Mikhail Babich, however, Ukraine has not granted agrement. At present the diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation in Ukraine is headed by chargé d’affaires Alexander Looky.
