Samsung replaced the head of the smartphone division

Samsung was replaced by the leader responsible for the development of the entire mobile business of the company, including smartphones, put on the e-mail and services. As the new head of unit was appointed the 51-year-old Roh, Tae-moon – the youngest President in the history of Samsung.

a Top Manager, who previously held the second highest position in Samsung Mobile, still headed the development of devices of the Galaxy series. His predecessor, Dong Jin Ko will retain the role of chief information technology and mobile communications of the Korean conglomerate, according to Bloomberg.

With Roh Tae moon Samsung will bet on the production of devices equipped with 5G-module, as well as a folding display. On February 11, the company may announce a new flagship line of Galaxy S20.

Samsung is the largest smartphone manufacturer, but its share decreases. Koreans are actively catching up with Samsung: according to estimates by Strategy Analytics, during the year, the gap between the two firms decreased from 5.9% in 2018, up 3.6%.
