Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has expanded the list of raw materials of goods which will sell for the national cryptocurrency of Petro. To contracts for the sale of oil, steel, iron and aluminum were added to the gold, writes TASS.
“We will sell part of the mined gold in Petro”, the President said Thursday the newspaper El Nacional.
the Maduro Government rapidly implements Petro in the daily lives of Venezuelans. Pensioners and civil servants have already received new year’s allowance in bitcoin.
Selling of Petro began on 20 February 2018 and its cost is equal to the price of a barrel of Venezuelan oil.
