In Melbourne launched an Open champion of Australia – the first of the season tournament series Grand slam. Russian tennis player Margarita Gasparyan ended the fight in the first round.
Margarita met with the Greek Maria Sakharine and lost in two rounds – 2:6, 2:6. The rivals have met on the court for about an hour. Sakharine next opponent will be determined in the meeting between Chinese Peng Shuai and Japanese Nao hibino.
Margarita Gasparyan was eliminated from the draw. Best score Gasparyan at the Australian Open – out in the fourth round in 2016.
