In Buryatia for monitoring of forest fires has installed 20 surveillance cameras. Tracking is performed around the clock in several parts of the country, and also in the capital city of Ulan-Ude.

Only over the past summer in Buryatia extinguished 452 wildfires, the total area passed by fire, has made about 28 thousand hectares of forest. Now, on the protection of forests in Buryatia Republic are a smart surveillance system.

On duty took 20 cameras. With the 60-meter antennas of cellular operators around the clock they keep order even in remote areas of the taiga. The task of technology is to quickly detect a fire, to calculate the area covered by the fire and send a signal to a Central control system.

Camcorder can detect even a small fire at a distance of 35 kilometers, which allows to immediately send the forest fire brigade in the right place.

the Operator of the regional dispatching service of Transbaikalian base of aviation protection of forests Anton Evteev says: “It all comes to us in dispatching service. We immediately sent all the data on forestry. They’re moving with a group, check it out — smoke, smoke, fire. And work directly with the district.”

Intelligent platform proved its effectiveness in 2018. Then it was found five cameras that were far more effective and cheaper. To service only one aircraft per year spent three times more than all the Webcams. So for two years we have purchased 15 devices.

“Agreed with Rostelecom that we have purchased themselves all of these cameras. It is now the property of the Republic, and Pskov has a us only service of its software and service provider paying only for the Internet”, — says the head of the Transbaikalian base of aviation protection of forests Gregory Serdyukov.

the camera Lens first to notice up to 30 percent of all forest fires, and this figure can be more, when “Lesthe guardian” will run at full capacity in all regions of the Republic. To date, the monitoring is carried out only on the territory of 17 forest districts. The efficiency of quenching in the first day is about 85 percent, the plan is to bring the indicators to the maximum, 100 percent.

Deputy Chairman of the government of Buryatia on security Peter Mordovian says: “Twenty cameras cover the area of ground handling 3 million 542 thousand hectares of 27.8 million hectares. This is a huge area, and with the help of video cameras it is much easier, more efficient and faster. And we will develop this system further.”

Further expansion of the video monitoring system will allow not only to fight with the fire element, but also to monitor the illegal activities of black loggers.
